Who are the SnoJets???

The Snojets are a Ski and Social Club with a membership of around 400 active, fun-loving enthusiasts. Although the club was formed over 50 years ago as a skiing club, a large number of members today do not ski but are very active because of the vast number of social activites in addition to the traditional planned ski trips during the winter months. Look through the club calendars for the past year on the left side bar. For a more complete understanding of the various activities of the Snojets, see this sampling of the club's social activities.




Meetings and Communication

From October to April, the SnoJets meet every Thursday at Howard's BBQ to plan ski trips and inform the membership of all the upcoming events. Howard's is located at 3350 North Chestnut, one street west of I-25 and just north of Fillmore. Happy Hour begins at 6:30 and the meetings begin at 7:30.

From May to September, there are more social activities than any one person can attend (see above). Since there are no weekly meetings, all the communication for these social activities comes through these webpages, the monthly newsletter (see the sidebar to the left), and through an email list at yahoo.com (see below).

    Weekly Bike Rides every Tuesday and Thursday - see the Bike Ride Schedule further down on this page

    May 1-4 - Annual Moab Weekend

    May 4 - Sunday - Bicycles and Brunch - 9:30am - Meet at the commuter parking lot at the SW corner of Corporate Center Drive and Woodman Road (just west of I-25 Exit 149)

    May 10 - Saturday - TeamSki Racer Party and Awards

    May 13 - 6:00 pm - Tuesday - Dinner and a Movie Night - Meet at Chilpolte Mexican Grill at 895 N. Academy at 6 pm for a light dinner or drinks (Yes, they carry some bottled beers and margaritas). Then we will walk over to the movies Picture Show at Citadel Crossing at 901 N. Academy (380-7469) for $.75 movies - - YES - 75 cents. We can pick from 10 theaters so there should be a movie to please everyone.

    May 17 - Saturday - Mountain Bike Ride in Cheyenne Mountain State Park

    May 24 - Saturday - Hiking Catamont Trail - Meet at the Safeway at 31st Street and West Colorado Avenue

Sno Jets Bike Ride Schedule

Mike and Lorena will be unable to lead the rides June 17 & 19. Rides will be cancelled unless someone volunteers to lead. Call (719) 683-8879 or email before May 19 to let us know which day(s) you prefer and where you choose to lead the group.
