As many of you know, the Sno Jets have long been big supporters of a blind skier program based here in Colorado Springs called CSSB - Colorado Ski School for the Blind. Many of our fellow Sno Jet members are and have been active in CSSB. Sno Jets have supported our yearly benefit race with donations, collecting prizes, and competing in the race.
In 1998 the CSSB went through a HUGE change!!! We 'grew up' and 'flew the coop' of our parent program CSSB/Vail. We became an independent organization, call VIBeS - Visually Impaired and Blind Skiers of the Colorado Springs Community.
We are, as every year, actively seeking new volunteers. We have all sorts of committees set up with all kinds of activities taking place. Most importantly, we need skiers who would be willing to 'guide' a visually impaired person for a day of skiing. We have regular general meetings at at CSDB - Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, in the library. You are welcomed to join us!
If you'd like additional information on VIBeS, please contact Carol or Leo Bush @ 481-2304.
We thank you in advance!
